Woman accused of glassing a man in Sydney’s east

A woman faces charges after a man was punched and had a schooner glass hurled at his face during a night out in Sydney’s east.

Police say the pair started arguing at a licensed venue on Crown Street in Surry Hills at around 7.30pm on Saturday night.

The 27-year-old woman is accused of punching the man in the face before she allegedly grabbed a schooner glass and threw it, hitting him in his face.

The man suffered injuries to his face and a gash on his forearm.

The woman was arrested and taken to Surry Hills Police Station, where she was charged with common assault, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The woman was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court, Friday 27 January 2017.
