Police are appealing for help to track down a woman accused of assaulting a man in a mobility scooter at Southport.
The 66-year-old was riding his scooter northbound along Ferry Road, near the intersection of Queen Street, around 2.20pm on Monday when a woman jumped out of the bushes and confronted him.
Police say the woman “verbally abused the man and spat in his face” before crossing six lanes of traffic and fleeing west on the southern side of Queen Street.

The woman is described as African in appearance with bleached orange hair, aged in her late twenties, approximately 167cm tall with a slim build.
She was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident.
Police are appealing to any witnesses, or anyone who may have captured mobile phone or dash-camera footage around the intersection of Ferry Road and Queen Street between 2.20pm and 3:00pm on Monday April 19, to come forward.
