Woman accused of torching police car outside cop shop

A WOMAN accused of torching a police car and trying to set fire to another outside a police station in Brisbane has allegedly lashed out at officers and punched one of them in the head after being arrested.

The 31-year-old woman allegedly poured an accelerant over a patrol car outside the Coorparoo Police Station and set it on fire around 6.30am on Wednesday.

Police allege the same woman tried torching a patrol car at Carina Police Station on Tuesday afternoon.


Following investigations, the 31-year-old was arrested at a house on Dickinson Street around 12.30pm.

The woman was taken to Dutton Park Police Station where it’s alleged she lashed out at police and punched one officer in the head.

She has since been charged with two counts of seriously assaulting police and one count each of vehicle arson, attempted vehicle arson and trespass.

The 31-year-old Carina woman is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
