Woman accused of stabbing knife through man’s hand in Qld domestic

A WOMAN has been charged with unlawful wounding after she allegedly stabbed a knife through a man’s hand during a dispute in outback Queensland overnight.

Police said they were called to reports of a fight between the couple at a residential address in the small town of Cloncurry, east of Mount Isa, at around 7pm.

On arrival, officers found a 26-year-old man who had been stabbed through his right hand.


A 27-year-old Cloncurry woman was arrested at the scene and charged with one count of unlawful wounding.

She is due to appear at the Cloncurry Magistrates Court on 7 October.

The injured man was transported to the Cloncurry Hospital for treatment to non-life threating injuries.

Police confirmed the man and woman are known to each other.
