A US mother is being praised for honoring her late best friends final wish – to make sure her babies are kept together.
Single mother Beth Laitkep was 39-years-old when her life was cut short by breast cancer in May this year.
ABC reports that prior to her passing, Ms Laitkep asked her close high school friend Stephanie Culley if she would care for her six children should “a miracle not happen”.

“She said, ‘I know you will do this for me, but can you raise nine kids? Can you take my babies, all of them and keep them together?” Ms Culley told ABC news.
The mum of three promised Ms Laitkep that she would honour her wish and on July 19, Ms Culley and her husband were granted official guardianship of the six children, all aged under 15-years-old.
