A woman has been flown to hospital on the Gold Coast following a horror Christmas Day crash in the Tweed.
It happened just after 4.30pm yesterday, when two cars collided head-on just south of the New South Wales border.
Several emergency crews rushed to the crash scene, with the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter also tasked to assist.

A woman, aged in her 30s, suffered “multiple traumatic injuries” after being trapped in one of the vehicles.
She was rescued from the wreckage and treated by paramedics on scene before being airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital, thankfully in a stable condition.
It was a busy Christmas day for the rescue chopper, with crews tasked to four motor vehicle accidents.
