Woman allegedly raped at medical facility

A MAN has been charged with raping a woman at a medical facility on Brisbane’s northside.

The attack allegedly took place at a medical centre at Chermside yesterday, Thursday October 18.

The victim, a 26-year-old woman, reported the incident to police and detectives from the North Brisbane Criminal Investigation Branch launched an investigation.


By nightfall, the 50-year-old man accused of the attack was arrested.

In a statement overnight, police confirmed the man had been charged with rape and sexual assault.

The man from Carindale was expected to answer to the charges in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
