Woman and child suffer spinal injuries in two-car crash, Gold Coast

A woman and a child have been hospitalised with suspected spinal injuries after a nasty crash in Nerang last night.

Emergency services were called to Ferry Road and Nerang Street just after 6.30pm, following reports of the crash.

It’s understood two cars collided at the intersection, with three people involved.

Paramedics report that a woman and a female child of primary school age both had to be taken to hospital for suspected spinal injuries.

They’re both believed to be in stable conditions at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Meantime, a third person was also assessed but declined further transport.
