A woman has been arrested after the body of an elderly woman was found in a unit in northern Sydney.
Police were called to the Foam Street apartment just before 8.00pm on Sunday after receiving a call about a concern for someone’s welfare.
Officers quickly rushed to the unit, where they found the body of the 81-year-old woman.

A crime scene was established at the scene with specialist investigators from the State Crime Command Homicide Squad also in attendance.
A short time later, officers arrested a 49-year-old woman at the scene.
She has been taken to Manly Police Station where she is currently assisting police with inquiries.
Investigations are continuing.
