Woman attacked, indecently assaulted in Sydney park

Police are searching for a man believed to be behind a random attack on a woman in a Sydney park on Sunday night.

A 27-year-old was at Hanna Park, North Richmond, around 11.20pm when she was pushed from behind by a strange man.

Police have been told the man indecently assaulted the woman and attempted to sexually assault her, before he ran off towards Beaumont Street.

The woman quickly ran to her home nearby and called police.

She did not require medical treatment.

As inquiries into the incident continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being about 170cm tall, of medium build, and was seen wearing black ‘parachute’ material pants and a black jacket.
