Woman bitten by snake at Gold Coast school
A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after being bitten by a snake at a school on the Gold Coast.
It’s understood the woman was bitten at Miami State School on Oceanic Drive in Mermaid Waters around 10am.
An ambulance spokesperson said the snake appeared to have struck the woman, who is believed to be aged in her 40s, just above the ankle.
She was taken to Gold Coast Robina Hospital in a stable condition.
It is not known what species of snake bit the woman.
