Woman brings her pet pig on plane as ’emotional support’

A WOMAN was ordered to leave a flight by crew members after sneaking a pig on board.

The passenger, on a US plane leaving Conneticut’s Bradley International Airport, was told to get off when the pet became disruptive.

Laura Masvidal, a spokeswoman for US Airways-parent American Airlines, told ABC News it had been brought on board to act as an emotional-support animal.

Another passenger, University of Massachusetts professor Jonathan Skolnik, who was sat next to the scene, thought it was just a duffel bag at first but admitted it was the smell which gave the pig away.

According to ABC news he added that he guessed the pig weighed around 50 to 70 pounds.

The pig then allegedly began running up and down the flight while its owner attempted to clean up and control her pet before disembarking the plane.
