Woman brutally punched by teen after she refused to give him $100

A 16-year-old boy has been charged over a brutal attack on a female store owner in Zillmere overnight.

Police say around 7.15pm the youth attended a business on Zillmere Road demanding the store owner give him a hundred dollars.

When she declined, the boy allegedly punched her numerous times before leaving the store and returning to assault her again.


The woman was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The boy was arrested at a home not far from the store and charged with one count each of attempted armed robbery with violence and assault occasioning bodily harm.

He is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Childrens Court.
