Woman carjacked while dropping clothes into charity bin at Arundel

A MAN remains at large after a violent carjacking on the Gold Coast on Wednesday.

The terrifying incident unfolded just after 4.30pm on Allied Drive in Arundel.

It’s understood a woman was dropping clothes into a Vinnies charity bin when it’s alleged a man jumped into her white Mercedes and took off.

The 52-year-old was reportedly knocked to the ground and hit by her own car as the man drove away.

She suffered a minor hip injury and was treated by paramedics at the scene for shock.

The woman later took to Facebook, asking the community to keep a look out for her vehicle.

“I have just been carjacked, I am ok, gonna end up with a few bruises, but I sure put up a huge fight,” the woman wrote.

“If anyone on the Gold Coast sees a Mercedes Benz sports, white, on coast, please call police.

“No one will be able to contact me as he got my phone and my purse, please anyone on the coast share if you can”

The woman’s attacker is described as being Islander in appearance, tall and having a solid build.
