Woman charged after allegedly crashing car, spitting on cop

A woman has been charged with a string of offences after allegedly crashing a car and spitting on a police officer in NSW.

The chaotic scenes unfolded just before 5.30pm yesterday, when police were called to Dappo Road at Narromine following reports a driver had performed a burnout before colliding with a fence.

Police said following the crash, the 33-year-old woman allegedly behind the wheel assaulted a female bystander and stole her phone before trying to run from the scene.
