A WOMAN has been charged over the ferocious fire which forced the evacuation of several units at Coopers Plains yesterday.
Around 3.50pm, police and emergency services rushed to the Cromer Street address after receiving reports a unit was engulfed in flames.
Nearby units were evacuated as a precaution before firies managed to extinguish the blaze a short time later.

The unit, along with several other neighbouring properties sustained extensive damage.

Following investigations, a 26-year-old woman was arrested this morning and has been charged with one count each of arson and endangering property by fire.
She was refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
