Woman charged with attempted murder after stabbing at private Brisbane hospital

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after a man was allegedly stabbed at the Toowong Private Hospital in Brisbane overnight.

Police said that around 6.10pm, officers were called to the Milton Road facility following reports a man had been stabbed a number of times.

On arrival, police located a 38-year-old man with serious injuries to his neck and leg. First aid was administered at the scene, and the man has since undergone surgery and is now recovering.

A 28-year-old woman was arrested at the scene, and was charged with one count of attempted murder, one count each of common assault, unlawful wounding, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence and going armed so as to cause fear.

She is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
