Woman charged as CCC probe into GC ice syndicate continues

Another charge has been laid in the ongoing investigation of a high-threat organised drug syndicate operating out of Main Beach.

A 45-year-old woman is accused of falsifying records to apply for a $170,000 bank loan.

The woman is expected to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on 31 August.

It is her first charges in relation to the ongoing Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) organised crime investigation known as Operation Altana.

Operation Altana targeted a high-threat syndicate allegedly involved in the production, supply and trafficking of the drug ice, and cocaine, on the Gold Coast.

The CCC made a number of arrests in January and February related to a site at Main Beach where ice was allegedly cut, recrystallised, and then packaged for distribution.
