Woman charged with four counts of attempted murder after apartment fire

A WOMAN has been charged with multiple counts of attempted murder after allegedly setting fire to an apartment in Brisbane.

The 26-year-old is accused of starting a fire which ripped through a unit on Comer Street at Coopers Plains on Saturday afternoon.

She was initially charged with one count each of arson and endangering property by fire but has since been slapped with four additional charges of attempted murder.

The woman appeared in the Holland Park Magistrates Court where she was remanded in custody.

She is scheduled to reappear in court on October 26.

The fire caused extensive damage to the building.
