Woman accused of shooting man in GC home has murder case adjourned

UPDATE @ 12.0opm: | A woman accused of shooting a man at a home in Labrador yesterday has had her case moved to the domestic and family violence court.

The 48-year-old was charged with murder overnight after a 43-year-old man was shot dead at a home on Imperial Parade around 2.00pm Monday.

The woman did not physically appear in Southport Magistrates court this morning.

Her case has been adjourned until next month.

UPDATE @ 6.00am – 23.8.16: | Police have charged a woman with murder, after a man was shot dead in Labrador on Monday afternoon.

A 48-year-old woman was taken into police custody at the scene and later charged.

She is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court this morning.

EARLIER @3.00pm – 22.8.16: | A man has been shot in a home opposite a school in Labrador on the Gold Coast this afternoon.

Initial information suggests that police were called to the home on Imperial Parade just after 2.00pm, following reports of a shooting.

On arrival they found a man, believed to be aged in his 40s, with life-threatening injuries.

A woman located at the home is currently assisting police with enquiries.

Imperial Parade has been blocked off with motorists urged to avoid the area.

Diversions are also in place for those attempting to pick up children from nearby Labrador State school. Parents are being told to pick up students from the Gordon Street pick-up zone.
