Woman charged with murder after man found dead in Qld mining town

A WOMAN will front court next week, charged with murdering a man in Central Queensland.

The man’s body was found inside a house in the Central Highlands mining town of Blackwater, 190km west of Rockhampton, on Friday morning.

Emergency services were called reports of an unresponsive man at the Bendee Crescent home around 9am.

Police and paramedics tried desperately to revive the man at the scene, but he could not be saved.

Police confirmed the man was pronounced deceased before he could be transported to hospital.

The man’s age and cause of death was not immediately known.

The Bundee Crescent house was declared a crime scene and examined by detectives and forensic police.

A 45-year-old woman known to the man was arrested and charged with his murder on Friday night.

Police said she is due to front Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Monday.
