Following the youngster’s death, detectives launched a dedicated strike force after a post-mortem examination of the infant identified the presence of methylamphetamine and amphetamine in his system.
As result, strike force detectives yesterday arrested a 40-year-old woman at a correctional facility in Silverwater.
She was charged with use poison so as to endanger life (DV).
The woman was refused bail to appear at Newtown Local Court today.
