Woman charged over knifepoint robbery
A woman has been charged after allegedly robbing a Burleigh Heads convenience store at knifepoint.
Police say the woman walked into the store on the Gold Coast Highway around 6.40pm on Saturday night and threatened a male worker before demanding cash and cigarettes.
The attendant handed her two packets of cigarettes before she fled.
She was last seen getting into the passenger seat of a vehicle which was tracked by Police to a nearby address.
Police found the 41-year-old Burleigh Waters woman in possession of the cigarettes and a knife.
She’s due to appear in court on January 9.
