Woman charged over violent stabbing attack of 17yo in Surfers Paradise

A 17-year-old man has been hospitalised with a punctured lung after an alleged stabbing attack in Surfers Paradise early this morning.

Police were called to a disturbance involving a big group of people along The Esplanade around 2.30am, where the man was found with a serious wounding.

It’s alleged that during the incident, a 37-year-old woman produced a knife and stabbed the man.


She then fled the scene, while the injured man was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital.

A second man was also hospitalised with back injuries. Paramedics report both men are in serious but stable conditions.

The Boronia Heights woman was tracked down shortly after in a nearby hotel, she’s now been charged with wounding and grievous bodily harm.

She’s due in Southport Court today.
