Woman charged over rampage, bomb scare at Gold Coast police station

A 19-YEAR-OLD woman has been charged after allegedly threatening to blow up a police station on the Gold Coast.

The bomb threat is the latest of a spate of bizarre attacks on the Coomera Police Station this month.

The woman from Logan is accused of going on a rampage and smashing a glass door at the station on October 2.

Two days later, the same woman allegedly returned and smashed another glass door and damaged two patrol cars.

Then, five days later on October 9, she allegedly discharged a fire extinguisher in the vicinity of the station.

The following day, the woman’s concerning behaviour escalated and she allegedly threatened to blow up the station.

Police released a statement on Thursday afternoon, confirming the woman had been arrested.

She has been charged with three counts of wilful damage of police property, and one count each of bomb hoax, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of utensil, wilful damage and driving under the influence.

She was due to front Southport Magistrates Court today.
