Woman charged with stabbing husband in the back in Sydney’s west

A woman has been charged with stabbing her husband in the back during a violent domestic incident in Auburn on Sunday night.

It’s understood a 42-year-old man and his 47-year-old wife were having an argument around 7pm when the woman picked up a knife and stabbed her husband in the back.

It is not confirmed what sort of weapon was used.


The man sustained a punctured lung and punctured kidney and is currently in intensive care at Westmead Hospital after undergoing surgery.

The 47-year-old woman was arrested and charged with intentionally inflict grievous bodily harm.

She was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today.
