A WOMAN has been arrested and charged over her alleged involvement in the brutal bashing and robbery of a man in the affluent inner-city Sydney suburb pf Surry Hills.
Police allege the 26-year-old victim was ambushed on Cooper Street around 4am on Friday morning.
It’s alleged he was followed by two men and, as he approached Holt Street, was struck across the front of the neck by one of the men.

The blow knocked the victim to the road. As he lay injured, it’s alleged the second man then started punching him.
It’s then alleged a 45-year-old woman started to wrestle with the man while he was on the ground and attempted to take his backpack.
Police were called and raced to the scene where they arrested the woman, however, the two men could not be found.
The victim was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries.
The woman was taken to Surry Hills Police Station and charged with aggravated robbery.
She was granted bail in court on Friday and is expected to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday 17 January 2017.
