Woman charged over Surfers Paradise knife incident
A woman has been charged following an incident where a 33-year-old woman received a stab wound to her forearm at Surfers Paradise yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to a Paradise Island unit at around 4:30pm, where two women who were known to each other were involved in a disturbance.
It’s alleged during this disturbance the woman was injured with a knife.
She was treated with non-life threatening injuries at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
A 41-year-old woman was detailed by police near the scene, and charged with wounding and entering a dwelling with intent.
She will face Southport Magistrates Court today.
