A WOMAN has been charged with arson after allegedly burning down a house west of Brisbane.
The 30-year-old allegedly set fire to the Honeyeater Place home at Lowood around 8.20am on Thursday.
Despite the best efforts of firefighters to extinguish the inferno, the house sustained extensive damage.

Thankfully, police said no one was inside the house at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
The local woman was arrested and charged last night with one count of arson.
She was expected to front Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
