Woman charged with murder after body found under bridge

Police have charged a woman with murder after a body was found under a bridge on the New South Wales far south coast.

Marnielee Maree Cave, 26, from Bega, was found dead under the Mogareeka Bridge on the Tathra-Bermagui Road at Tathra about 8.15am on October 14.

Investigators from Far South Coast LAC commenced Strike Force Bract to investigate her death.


About 9.15am yesterday, Tuesday 1 December, officers arrested a 52-year-old woman at a property in Bega.

She was taken to Bega Police Station and charged with murder and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

She was remanded in custody during a hearing at Batemans Bay Local Court and is due to appear in Bega court on December 15.
