Woman charged with murder after man stabbed to death

A woman has been charged with the stabbing murder of a man she knows, following a domestic incident in Brisbane.

The 36-year-old spent the night being questioned by Police, after they were called to a Chapel Hill home around 9pm on Wednesday to find the man “with a serious injury to the chest”.

In a statement, Police confirm emergency crews were called to the Fig Tree Pocket Road property following reports of an altercation.


“During this altercation the man sustained a serious injury to the chest”, police say.

The 35-year-old received medical treatment at the scene, but died as a result of his injuries.

The Chapel Hill woman was taken into custody and has since been charged with one count of murder to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
