Woman charged with murder over suspicious death of Logan baby

A Logan woman has been charged with murder following the suspicious death of a 4-month-old girl.

The infant was taken to Logan Hospital last month with life-threatening injuries.

She was transferred to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane in a critical condition but passed away on Tuesday, November 20.

Police from the Logan Child Protection and Investigation Unit and State Crime Command’s Homicide and Child Trauma squad launched an investigation.

A 35-year-old woman from West Waterford was arrested on Monday and charged with murder.

She is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
