Woman charged with punching, stabbing teen girl in shocking random attack

A woman will face court today after allegedly assaulting a teenager in Coffs Harbour at the weekend.

About 5.30am on Sunday 29 November 2015, a 17-year-old girl was walking along the Pacific Highway, when she was attacked by an unknown person.

It’s alleged she was punched and kicked in the head, while also sustaining a wound to her chest.


Officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Following inquires, a 30-year-old woman was arrested yesterday, Wednesday 2 December and charged with reckless wounding.

She was bail refused to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court today.
