Woman charged with stabbing man with kitchen knife during domestic argument

A woman has been charged following the stabbing of a man during a domestic argument at Chatswood, on Sydney’s north shore.

About 7.30pm Friday 2 October 2015, a 23-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were involved in an argument inside a unit on Brown Street.

It’s alleged during the altercation; the woman armed herself with two kitchen knives and stabbed the man in the shoulder.


The injured man went to a local medical centre where he received stitches, before returning to the unit.

Police were called to the unit about 11.30pm after a second altercation.

The woman was arrested and taken to Chatswood Police Station, where she was charged with malicious wounding.

She has since been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital as a precaution, and a court date will be set upon her release from hospital.
