Woman, child tied up by armed men in terrifying home break-in

A woman and four children have been left traumatised after two men broke into their Chambers Flat home armed with knives.

Police said the woman and children were sleeping when they woken by the men around 4.00am Sunday.

“They tied the woman, and a 12-year-old boy up, whilst they conducted an untidy search of the home before fleeing with cash and mobile phones,” Qld Police said in a statement.

The woman managed to free herself and phoned police for help.

Luckily, the woman and the young boy were not injured.

Police said the three other children, all aged under 10, witnessed the robbery but were not hurt.

Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch are appealing for anyone in the vicinity of Chambers Flat Road around 4am Sunday, who noticed anything suspicious, to contact police.
