A woman has been charged by police following an armed robbery yesterday in Sydney’s Neutral Bay.
It’s alleged the woman entered a supermarket on Rangers Road at around 6:30pm on Tuesday night and began to steal items from a service counter.
When confronted by staff she allegedly produced a machete and threatened an employee.

She then proceeded to leave the store, running across traffic on Military Road into Waters Road.
Two people were able to stop the woman until police arrived and took her to North Sydney Police Station.

The 31-year-old was charged with larceny, being armed with intent to rob using an offensive weapon, wielding a knife in a public place, common assault and being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.
She was refused bail and is due to appear before Central Local Court today.
