Woman critical after falling 10m down cliff at Point Danger

A young woman is fighting for life after falling around 10 metres from a lookout at Duranbah in the Tweed Shire.

Emergency crews were called to Point Danger around 11.50am on Thursday after a member of the public found the injured woman at the bottom of the cliff.

The woman, believed to be aged in her 20s, suffered significant injuries in the fall.


She was treated at the scene by both Qld and NSW paramedics before being airlifted to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC the woman remains in a critical condition.
