Woman critical after collision with car being driven by 14yo boy

A young woman is in a critical condition after a horror head-on crash with a car being driven by a 14-year-old boy in Sydney’s west.

Around 7.30pm last night, emergency services were called to Dunheved Road at Werrington after a Holden Commodore sedan and a Holden Commodore ute collided.

Police said the driver of the ute, a 27-year-old woman, was trapped for about an hour before being rushed to Westmead Hospital where she remains in a critical condition with serious leg injuries.


Her passenger, a 16-year-old boy, was also taken to Westmead Hospital where he’s reported to be in a stable condition.

The driver of the sedan, a 14-year-old boy, was taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead with serious abdominal injuries and fractures.

A back-seat passenger in the sedan, an 18-year-old man, was taken to Westmead Hospital with leg injuries.

A 14-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy escaped with minor injuries and were also taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

An investigation is underway to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.
