Woman critical and three hospitalised after serious crash in Sydney’s West
A woman is in a critical condition and three others are in hospital following a serious crash in Sydney’s west last night.
Emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway in Minchinbury at around 9:30pm, where two vehicles had collided.
A 53-year-old woman who was driving a Honda CR-V station wagon along with her passengers, a 52-year-old woman and 39-year-old woman, were all trapped for a short time.
Once they were freed from the vehicle they were taken to Westmead Hospital where the 52-year-old remains in a critical condition, and the others in a stable condition.
The 43-year-old male driver of a Toyota van was treated at the scene and taken to Westmead Hospital.
Officers set up a crime scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Inquiries are ongoing.
