Woman critically injured after car hits parked truck in early morning smash

A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition following a shocking crash in Sydney’s northwest.

Police said the 27-year-old’s car smashed into a parked truck at Clarendon early on Sunday morning.

The accident happened at the intersection of Hawkesbury Valley Way and Percival Street just before 1.30am.


The woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was trapped in the wreckage for sometime before firefighters and members of the State Emergency Services were able to cut her free.

She was treated by ambulance paramedics at the scene before taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
