Woman critically injured after being hit by car in NSW

A woman has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Sydney this afternoon.

The 59-year-old was walking across Railway Parade in Cabramatta when she was struck just after 2.00pm.

The woman suffered serious head injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital.


The male driver of the car escaped injury. He was subjected to mandatory drug and urine testing.

A crime scene has since been established and the Crash Investigation Unit are making further inquiries.

Boundary Lane is closed in both directions.
