Woman critically injured in Tamborine crash dies in hospital
A WOMAN who was critically injured in a multi-vehicle crash at Tamborine on Monday has sadly died in hospital.
The accident, involving three vehicles, happened on Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road just after 12.15pm.
Police said a van was travelling south-west when it crossed over the centre line and collided head-on with a hatchback.
A truck that was travelling behind the hatchback then collided with the rear of the car.
The driver of the hatchback, a 55-year-old woman from Moogerah, was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital where she passed away overnight.
The driver of the van, a 19-year-old man, was transported to Logan Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the truck managed to escape unharmed.
Investigations are continuing.
