Woman died at scene after car hit a tree

Investigations are underway this morning after a woman tragically died when her car hit a tree in New South Wales.

Emergency Services were called to the scene in the Hunter region around 7.30pm last night.

Despite desperate attempts by Paramedics, the 47-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.


Police and fire and rescue officers were also at the crash site.

Police say the woman was travelling on Windermere Road at Lochinvar, when she lost control of the car and crashed into a tree.

She’s believed to have lived nearby in the town of Windermere.

Investigations are underway as to what might have caused her to lose control of the vehicle.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
