Woman dies two weeks after being found critically injured

A woman found in the Tweed with critical head injuries earlier this month, has died in hospital.

The 44-year-old was discovered by a family member at a property on Elfran Avenue in Pottsville around 6pm on October 10.

Paramedics treated her at the scene before rushing her to Tweed Heads Hospital.


She was later transferred to Gold Coast University Hospital however died on Saturday.

Police say an investigation is underway to determine exactly how and where the woman died.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who might have seen any suspicious activity in the area on Saturday October 10 to contact Tweed Heads Police or Crime Stoppers.
