Woman dragged along road after car passenger reaches out and grabs her handbag

A WOMAN has been robbed and dragged along a road in a horrifying incident in Brisbane’s southeast.

It happened on Finucane Road at Capalaba, Redland City, around 6.40pm on Tuesday.

Police said a man driving a dark coloured sedan pulled up near the woman and called her over to his car.

That’s when a woman sitting in the front passenger seat allegedly reached out and grabbed her purse.

Police said the man then tried driving away, dragging the woman a short distance along the road.

The woman eventually let go and the couple got away with her purse, police said.

The victim was left covered in abrasions and needed to be taken to Redlands Hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing for help to locate her attackers, who remain at large.
