Woman fighting for life after horror Gold Coast crash

A young woman is fighting for her life after a horror crash in Mudgeeraba early this morning.

Police say the 20-year-old from Palm Beach allegedly lost control of her car on a bend, colliding with a pole on Franklin Drive just after midnight.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics for life-threatening head and arm injuries before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

A 21-year-old male passenger and a 17-year-old female passenger managed to escape with minor injuries.

The man was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police are urging anyone who may have dash cam footage or who may have seen the accident to contact them.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
