Woman fights for life after being hit by car at shopping centre

AN elderly woman is fighting for life in hospital after being hit by a car in Brisbane.

The woman, believed to be aged in her 80s, was struck in a carpark outside a shopping centre on Creek Road at Mount Gravatt East at about 9.50am on Wednesday.

She was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where she remains today, in a critical condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

They are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, has dash cam or witnessed the event to come forward.
