Woman found at home with life-threatening injuries dies in hospital

Police have confirmed a woman has died in hospital after she was found in a home with life-threatening injuries in Melbourne’s west.

A family member reportedly discovered the 28-year-old woman unresponsive in a home on Nottingham Crescent in Tarneit, about 25 kilometres west of the city’s CBD, at around 3pm on Tuesday.

The woman was rushed to hospital by ambulance but sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away on Wednesday evening.

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives, with the assistance of the Homicide Squad, are investigating the woman’s death and will await the results of a post mortem to assist in the investigation.
