Woman glassed in the face in alleged pub attack
A woman will need to have surgery after allegedly being slashed in the face by another woman at a Sydney pub.
It’s believed the two women, aged 31 and 46 and not known to each other, exchanged heated words at a hotel on Riverside Drive in Airds about 8.20pm on Friday.
Around ten minutes later the younger woman walked up to the other lady in the pub’s beer garden.
The 46-year-old then allegedly struck the other woman in the face with a schooner glass, causing a significant wound.
Police arrested the older woman at the scene before finding the alleged victim at home with a facial wound.
She was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment and will need surgery.
The 46-year-old woman was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with reckless wounding to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on 27 November 2017.
