Woman hit and killed by car in SE Qld
A woman has died after being hit by a car near Gatton this morning.
The woman, whose age has not been revealed, was walking on Gatton Helidon Road at Lower Tenthill when she was struck around 5.30am.
Despite desperate attempts by paramedics, she died at the scene.
Gatton Helidon Road was closed for several hours following the fatal crash however has since reopened.

Police are appealing for witnesses as the Forensic Crash Unit continue investigations.
